Dr. Changhong Zhou is a licensed acupuncturist and herbalist and co-owner of Boca Raton Acupuncture Clinic. He specializes in pain management and vitamin point injections.
Dr. Zhou graduated summa cum laude from the Henan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine with a bachelors of medicine and obtained a master’s degree of medicine from the Beijing University of Chinese Medicine from the renowned a practitioner of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and a descendent of royal family physicians of the Qing Dynasty, Dr. Shaoqin Zhao. In 1999, he received a PhD in virology from the Medical College of Ohio (now the College of Medicine and Life Sciences at the University of Toledo). Since then, he has held post-doctoral fellow positions at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute and Harvard Medical School. In 2014, he co-founded Boca Raton Acupuncture Clinic and Boston Chinese Acupuncture with Dr. Li Zheng after nearly a decade of cutting-edge vaccine development at Sanofi Pasteur. Dr. Zhou is licensed in acupuncture and Chinese herbs in Florida, Massachusetts and other states. When not with patients, Dr. Zhou enjoys gardening and spending time with his 3 children.
