Lyme disease is transmitted by ticks which carry the bacteria, Borrelia burgdorferi. Common symptoms include fatigue, fever, and skin rashes. If it is not treated right away, the bacteria will invade the nervous system, causing memory loss, depression, and arthritis. Treatment for Lyme disease involves long stretches of antibiotic use, which damages your digestive system by killing the natural bacteria in your intestines. Acupuncture is a beneficial complement to antibiotic treatment by improving your digestion, so that you experience fewer side effects from the antibiotics. In addition, acupuncture helps facilitate tissue recovery, so that even if bacteria has invaded joint and heart tissues, acupuncture will aid in the recovery of these damaged tissues. Important nerves that affect every part of the body travel from through the neck from the brain on their way to the rest of the body. As a result, tightness in the neck not only causes neck pain, but could also lead to back pain and tingling in the extremities. Acupuncture on the neck instantly relaxes those muscles, reducing pressure on the nerves and pain in other affected areas of the body such as the back. When combined with daily stretching exercises, acupuncture can help even chronic sufferers of back pain and neck pain find relief.
Osteoarthritis is caused by wear and tear. When knee joints are swollen, patients cannot walk in a normal gait. In the long run, the changed gait can put too much pressure on the hip joints. Acupuncture helps to reduce the inflammation of the knee joint. Acupuncture can also help resume the balance between different joints, muscles and tendons. Liu YH published research about knee osteoarthritis in Am J. Chin Med. 2017. He verified that acupuncture not only can help reduce knee pain, but it can also rebalance the muscles and tendons around knee and hip joints.[/lgc_column]
Neuropathy Acupuncture
Neuropathy is the inflammation of the nerves, typically in the hands and feet, which is marked by tingling sensations, numbness, and feeling cold even at normal room temperature. This condition may be caused by certain lifestyle habits like consuming too much alcohol, simple sugars or salt or as a side effect of blood thinners and chemotherapy drugs. Insertion of acupuncture needles at points in the hands and feet can immediately relieve symptoms by dilating peripheral blood vessels and increasing circulation speed. Furthermore, increased blood flow can also carry away the neurotoxic chemicals that are causing the inflammation. For detailed information click here Neuropathy Acupuncture. Osteoarthritis is the inflammation caused by wear and tear. It can happen in many joints, mostly likely the knee joints and hip joints. There are many factors contributing to the degree of the osteoarthritis. The same pathological change, different people can have different degrees of pain. That depends on how strong your muscle is and if there is a swelling or chronic inflammation in the joint.
Using acupuncture, we can help reduce the swelling of the joints, so in the future, reduce the scar tissue formed inside the joint. That will give you more mobility of the joints. Acupuncture can also induce different kinds of painkillers inside of your body, such as endorphin, serotonin and dopamine, so even the cartilage between the bones cannot regenerate, but when you have all the happy hormones produced inside of your body, then you won’t feel so much pain.
Furthermore, acupuncture can either strengthen or relax the muscle and tendon around the joint. So if you have very balanced tendon and muscle around the joint, then when you walk you won’t have pain, you may have a little bit of stiffness. That way, you can delay the joint replacement to ten or twenty years, so by that time the technique will be better the material will be improved, so you can just have one time joint replacement instead of two or three.
