Prevent Back Pain And Cortisone Shots With Acupuncture And Exercises After Back Surgery

In February 2017, the American College of Physicians (ACP) published an evidence-based clinical practice guideline in the journal Annals of Internal Medicine regarding the treatment of low back pain. For treatment of acute or chronic low back pain ACP recommended that physicians and patients should initially choose non-drug therapies including acupuncture. If drug therapy is desired, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) or skeletal muscle relaxants were recommended.
